INVESTON is committed to cooperating with law enforcement agencies and regulatory authorities worldwide while respecting user privacy and data protection laws. We respond to valid legal requests in accordance with applicable laws and our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

This page provides guidance to law enforcement officials, regulatory authorities, and legal representatives on how to submit valid requests for user information or other data from INVESTON.

1 Valid Legal Requests

INVESTON responds to the following types of valid legal requests:

Court Orders & Subpoenas

Valid subpoenas or court orders issued by courts of competent jurisdiction

Search Warrants

Search warrants properly executed by authorized law enforcement agencies

Regulatory Requests

Official requests from financial regulators and supervisory authorities

Emergency Requests

Urgent requests involving imminent danger to life or serious injury

Important Note:

All requests must be legally valid, properly authorized, and comply with applicable data protection laws including GDPR and local privacy regulations.

Required Information

All requests must include the following information:

  • Requesting Authority: Full name of the law enforcement agency or regulatory body
  • Contact Information: Officer name, badge/ID number, phone, email, and postal address
  • Legal Authority: Copy of subpoena, court order, warrant, or other legal documentation
  • User Identification: Account email, username, account ID, or other identifying information
  • Data Requested: Specific information or records being sought
  • Time Period: Date range for requested information
  • Case Number: Investigation or case reference number

  • Emergency Requests: Within 24-48 hours
  • Standard Requests: Within 7-14 business days
  • Complex Requests: Within 30 days (or as extended by mutual agreement)

Data Retention:

We retain user data for periods required by applicable regulations (typically 7-10 years for financial records). Data outside retention periods may not be available.

5 User Notification Policy

INVESTON's policy regarding user notification of legal requests:

Standard Practice

We generally notify users when their information is requested by law enforcement, unless prohibited by law or court order.

Exceptions

User notification may be delayed or withheld when: court orders prohibit disclosure, notification would endanger an investigation, or in emergency situations.

Users concerned about government access to their data should review our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Emergency Requests

For urgent matters involving imminent danger to life or serious physical injury:

  • • Include detailed justification for emergency status
  • • Provide callback number for immediate contact
  • • Follow up with formal legal documentation within 72 hours

Emergency requests are reviewed 24/7 and prioritized for immediate response.

Transparency Commitment

INVESTON is committed to transparency regarding government and law enforcement requests. We publish an annual Transparency Report detailing:

  • • Number of requests received by type and jurisdiction
  • • Number of requests complied with vs. rejected
  • • Types of data requested
  • • Number of users affected

Our transparency report is published annually and available upon request.
